COMING IN JANUARY 2025

DCC are excited about the launch, in January, of our new consultation and engagement platform, Let’s Talk County Durham. This is a new space for you to be actively involved in matters that affect you and your local area. There will be more ways for you to participate including surveys, commenting, quick polls and voting. There will also be the ability to put forward ideas and proposals and join in discussions on other proposals that have been put forward.

Look out for further communications about Let’s Talk County Durham when it goes live including how to register and create your own personalised account, to make the most of its features.

THE VILLAGE HALL NEEDS A CHAIRMAN TREASURER AND SECRETARY

A&E services
Available for the following conditions:

• loss of consciousness
• acute confused state and fits that are not stopping
• chest pain
• breathing difficulties
• severe bleeding that cannot be stopped
• severe allergic reactions
• severe burns or scalds
• stroke
• major trauma such as a road traffic accident

If people do turn up with minor ailments and don’t need to be there – they will be re-directed to a more appropriate service for their needs.

Teesdale Area Action Partnership (TAP)

TAP has money for grants. If you are a charity or part of a charitable organisation (e.g. scouts; village hall) or not for profit organisation you can apply via Adam White the TAP coordinator.

Money is usually available for youth activities. If you are putting on an activity for young people in the school holidays there is money to provide food. It has to be a new activity, long running Mum’s & Toddlers groups do not count.
